Resumen
The intervention project in the San Miguel neighborhood, arises in response to the needs of the sector in areas of mobility, infrastructure, commerce and public space, also based on the strategies of the municipal development plan, which seeks to direct the city towards the recovery of its spaces and heritage, which due to its constant use show a deterioration in its urban and architectural infrastructure, which promotes certain activities that are detrimental to the community, which in turn degrades trade and generates spaces that are harmful to the environment . Therefore, with the proposal it is desired to promote a balance between urban and environmental development, which potentiate the dynamics of the sector. The urban intervention of the Plaza Leopoldo Rother, aims to strengthen the sector through the design of a new public spatiality, which seeks to increase socio-economic and environmental indices, through the generation of spaces that boost trade, tourism, gastronomic and culture, along with the revitalization of the flora and fauna present in the environment. With the new spaces proposed, it is expected to achieve better urban growth, creating a more competitive and attractive sector for residents and tourists. The proposal implements an architectural intervention for the liberation and improvement of the Leopoldo Rother market square, which is an element of articulation, strengthening and connection of the existing equipment network and those formulated by the development plan. The equipment will mainly supply the need for domestic commodity supplies, and will help traders in the sector to generate higher expectations for quality, efficiency and development.
