Resumen
Calibration curves, or flow curves, are hydrological tools that show the relationship between a water level brace and the flow corresponding to that brace for a given control section in a surface current (León and Seylar, 2011). The estimation of flow curves (level-flow relationship) for hydrometric stations representing the cross sections of a river is one of the fundamental tasks of hydrometry, since these allow, among other things, the estimation of the flows monitored in a control section. This information is fundamental for hydrological modeling. It is then necessary to make an estimate of the uncertainty generated in the calculated flows. In this way, it is necessary to review the calculation models of the expense curves, as well as the procedures that could be applied in order to diminish this uncertainty. The present work seeks to explore the effect on the quantity and distribution of the gauges on the error of the flows obtained in the Combeima River and the Quebrada las Perlas through the level - flow curve and the propagation in the variables calculated in these. These parameters are of great importance data are for decision making in design of structures and the proper management that should be given water resource.
