The objective of this monograph is to analyze the risk factors present in the consumption of psychoactive substances (SPA) in the military, specifically, a conceptual study of the variables of incidence in the consumption of SPA and its causal relationship with the military field, in addition to clarifying the adverse effects within this context. Likewise, a theoretical expansion of the factors consecutive to the consumption of this type of substances is made, terms such as abuse, dependence, social isolation, detriment in different executive, cognitive and attitudinal functions are mentioned in this review. In this way, it can be established that the risk factors with the greatest impact on the onset of psychoactive consumption are the immediate context of the individual, that is, families in which there is a presence of this type of behavior, are facilitators to promote and generating a characteristic of permissiveness to promote these behaviors, likewise, preconceptions and evaluations, as well as, alterations at the psychological level and few skills of social interaction, are considered agents that enable an environment of susceptibility to consumption within the ranges of age in which the population of interest of this work is located.
