The strategic planning and the market study are tools of high value for the companies that apply them correctly, for this reason the present work of investigation looks for from an analysis of sector and a market investigation, to establish the advantages and disadvantages to which the company INGECOM.CO S.A.S. faces like distributor of products and inputs for sewage and aqueducts. Through the application of a data collection instrument on a non-probabilistic sample of companies in the hardware sector in the city of Ibagué, strategic lines, marketing and advertising, distribution, after-sales and an estimate of investment needs, were established for the design of a commercial expansion plan that would allow the company INGECOM.CO S.A.S to increase its market share in a period of four years.
