Resumen
This research work has as a general objective Identify the conceptual bases, theoretical premises and elements to consider for the design of a supply chain dedicated to the recovery of tires used in the urban context considering the foundations of reverse logistics. This is based on a methodology based on three phases from which it is possible to obtain relevant information around the reverse logistics supply chains in various market sectors, these phases are: 1. A frame of reference that allowed to determine conceptual and theoretical bases that intervene in the design of supply chains with a holistic approach highlighting the consideration of reverse flows; 2. The characterization of empirical cases referenced in the scientific literature related to the design of supply chains considering the perspectives of reverse logistics; and 3. The study of a case of tires related to these decisions. Among the main results, it is possible to highlight that, based on the conceptual and theoretical bases, and the empirical cases existing around the reverse logistics chains, it is possible to build tire recovery chain designs used in the urban context with relevant contexts such as resource recovery, transportation, location, inventory and legislation.
