Resumen
This article presents the dimensioning of an experimental grid of distributed generation with solar energy connected to low voltage with a capacity of 5 kWp, in order to reduce energy consumption from the interconnected system of the University of Ibagué. For this, a methodology of 9 steps was used, in which the production of electricity, the capacity and quantity of solar panels to use, the required inverter, the wiring and the area needed for the installation were determined. Subsequently, the structure supporting the system was designed from the required dimensions and the loads it must withstand. Finally, an economic feasibility analysis was performed using the Retscreen Expert software. It was determined that for an installed capacity of 5 kWp, it is necessary to locate 2 lines of 10 solar modules of the brand Canadian Solar 320 Wp with an inclination of 15°, a 6 kWp ABB String inverter and AWG 8 and 10 wiring for the various sections of the installation. The system shall be supported by a metallic structure with a design of double beams with a steel profile of 50x30x2mm. With the analysis obtained through the Retscreen software it was possible to determine that the project is economically viable, whose initial investment is 26,4 million pesos with a repayment in approximately 7 years to an Internal Rate of Return of 15%, and revenues of 3,8 million pesos the first year for the production of 7,9 MWh/year, mitigating about 2 TonCO2/year.
