Resumen
Colombia is a country that has been submerged in a wave of violence and conflict for more than 5 decades. The conflict in our country has been represented in most cases by illegal armed groups. Several areas of the country have been destroyed by armed groups, leaving marks of pain in their wake, but which in turn become a force to move forward. Icononzo, a municipality located to the east of the department of Tolima, was subjected for years to a series of milestones of violence that marked its history and the lives of its inhabitants, among the strongest, bipartisan violence and the formation of the guerrillas of Juan de La Cruz Varela. Those historical milestones framed between the 1940s and 1960s became a daily manifestation for the inhabitants of the municipality. But today, this history is only part of the collective memory of its inhabitants, and through the union of the icononzunos they have managed to recover their life and history. Thus, through the recovery of the historical memory of Icononzo, and the identification of new initiatives for the social reconstruction, recognition and transformation of the territory, we seek to understand and narrate the new bet of the population of Icononzo to build a culture full of peace.
