Resumen
The Quebrada el Pañuelo is a micro-basin that belongs to the sub-basin of the Chipalo River, which flows into the northwest of the city of Ibagué in the department of Tolima. This micro-basin crosses the San Diego, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz neighborhoods. the commune 2 of Ibagué. The historical data of natural phenomena presented in the micro basin justify the decision to modify the water round indicated in the territorial planning plan. At present, there is a great variety of software that allows to create flood events through geo-referenced modeling; In this document, the water round is determined using two software, called HEC-RAS, which contains different useful and necessary tools to process geospatial data supported by another software called ArcGIS 10.3, which is incorporated by means of import documents and export, this allows to collect, manage and analyze large volumes of data associated and spatially referred attributes, resulting in the image of the terrain with a TIN geometry (file of three-dimensional elevation of the terrain). Through this document, the new water round or flood level is established at approximately 6 meters, justifying the size of the new water round. Which should be included in the municipal POT, which will benefit directly from the community of commune 2 of Ibagué. The methodology consists of three phases; the first phase is the research phase in which the morphometric parameters are determined and the ravine is delimited, in order to know its shape, texture and other characteristics that compose it, the second phase is the application, in this the maximum flow rates are determined and the elevation of the micro-basin is modeled in HEC-RAS; The third and final phase is the analytical one, where the flood zone of the stream is determined by means of an analysis of results.
