Resumen

Institutions with a large campus such as the University of Ibagué require planning and space management, where the information is duly related to a geographical position along with detailed descriptions of the place, thus obtaining databases with geo-referenced information using the Geographic information systems (GIS) and building information model (BIM). This document explains the realization of a geodatabase of the areas that make up the University of Ibagué, taking into account the faculties, academic programs, common areas, areas of study among others for the preparation of this. For this, an analysis of information was made of the study area, being collected thanks to data given by each agency about the use that was given to each area and in addition to the use of architectural plans to know the distribution of geo-referenced areas. Consequently, a geodatabase was created around geo-referenced information in the area of the Ibagué University campus built with the help of GIS and BIM technologies, designed to meet the needs of planning new spaces and help create platforms where Information can be visualized in a creative way.
