Resumen

The final undergraduate project is presented under the modality of research assistance directed by teachers Oscar Ovalle Peña (principal investigator) and Leidy Carolina Tarquino Bulla (co-investigator) whose aim is to teach the different activities developed in the Project and Primary Prevention Program of The Intentional Suicidal Behavior in Adolescents "Psychoeducational strategies for the protection of life". The assistance of this project was based on the objective of identifying evaluation and intervention strategies used in the programs for the prevention of Suicide Behavior; Encouraging students of educational institutions to actively participate in the practical exercises that will be used in the intervention sessions, which will allow to acquire new knowledge, internalize learning and obtaining skills at the moment to confront difficult events. This investigative process is intended to work with youth population to contribute to the emotional, cognitive and behavioural strengthening that promotes the reduction of suicide attempts and suicidal ideation in the city of Ibagué. The main contributions and tasks carried out were the following: 1) Searching articles related to suicide prevention programs in Colombia, search of these articles in English globally 2) Redesign of the booklet "controlando mis emociones " for men and women, 3) Construction of maps of support networks for students, 4) Slides’ creation for sessions two and three in the awareness phase and 5) Reorganization of attention routes in the city of Ibagué.
