Resumen
In the city of Ibagué, the unequal growth of vehicular infrastructure with respect to pedestrian infrastructure is indisputable, this obviously leads to mobility problems but in the long term it generates environmental, economic and social problems. In this sense, this project is aimed at mitigating the problems of road congestion, environmental pollution, health effects and factors related to poor mobility practices, through the design of a support network for the NMT. The main objective is focused on determining the characteristics, conditions and location of said infrastructure network within the city of Ibagué, in which pedestrians and other users of NMT modes have a higher priority to travel safely, comfortably and economically. The methodology proposed for the present work has two general stages based on the established objectives. The first consists in the diagnosis of current conditions in terms of mobility patterns and perception of NMT users through document review and the application of surveys and traffic studies. The second phase covers the design of the network itself, which has been called life corridors. It is expected that these life corridors contribute to the development of a more sustainable and inclusive mobility system, which can even improve the conditions of the entire urban ecosystem, beyond the possibilities of the movement of people and goods.
