The design of a hybrid sludge dryer with electric and solar operation. After the construction and assembly, the working conditions of the hair dryer were evaluated. Search determines the hours of operation to achieve 12% humidity in the sludge, fined working conditions of temperature and humidity during operation with electric and solar energy. For the electric drying the time was of 18 hours, an average of 13 ° C with respect to the ambient temperature and the removal of 44.8% of the relative humidity inside the drying chamber, the weight loss of the sludge was 88.67%. For solar drying the time was of 32 hours, a theoretical efficiency of 62.67% was calculated and about 13.6% of the relative humidity inside the drying chamber was eliminated, taking into account that the natural air circulation and the weight loss of the sludge was a 60%.
