Resumen
The strategic planning in the Departmental Institute of Sports of Tolima (INDEPORTES) is a fundamental axis in the process of continuous improvement in the execution of each of the activities that are developed there. These activities are consistent with the function for which they were created and undoubtedly seek insatiably to give timely response to the community Tolimense in matters of recreation and sport. The execution of a set of activities that together fully comply with the strategic policies of the top management allowed to envision a clear horizon for the adoption of a quality management system that consolidates the processes in order to advance substantial improvements in public management policies. The design of a new mission, vision, policies and quality objectives are consolidated as the initial link in this journey through the optimal management of resources and activities. In addition, the updating of the manuals of functions and labor competencies are the basis of what to do with those directly involved and delimit the actions and responsibilities of the owners of each process. Finally, the generation of a set of strategies through permanent control based on the Balanced Scorecard tool allowed the organization to permanently monitor and control the strategic objectives, goals and results.
