Resumen

This work was carried out in order to examine the movements of some of the students of the University of Ibagué, in order to determine advantages and disadvantages when using a means of transportation in their daily lives. This was achieved thanks to a mobile application that evaluated distances and daily times of students, who used it for 2 months without stopping. They determined costs and satisfaction; Of course, only trips to and from the University of Ibagué. With this, we went to compare a bus vs a motorcycle knowing which means of transport are more expensive, faster and more comfortable according to the user. What was found here in this study was higher costs for motorcyclists and more time on the route for students who take the bus daily. In the final part, some recommendations are made according to the student's objective.
