Resumen

The purpose of the research work was to identify the studies that exist in the literature to design, manage and evaluate health systems from the network analysis approach. Particularly, the actors and their interactions in the networks were characterized, as well as the management models and evaluation decisions studied for health systems. Based on this information, the scope of the use of network analysis for the management and evaluation of health systems versus traditional approaches was determined. To achieve the purpose of this research, a search was made in databases (Scopus and Pubmed), with delimitations of language (English and Spanish) and publication time (May to year 2,008). Afterwards, a bibliometric analysis and network analysis were carried out in order to analyze in detail the information collected. In addition, a reference matrix was built, which is included in the annexes, where the most relevant aspects of each article were specified.
