The present study has an institutional support from the information needs of the creative and cultural industries (ICC), to be more effective in strengthening a creative economy in the country. These needs were identified in the recent Orange Economy Law, in public policy for the strengthening of CCIs, and in programs promoted by the creative and cultural entrepreneurship group of the Ministry of Culture. At the regional and local level, foundations were also found in the public policy “Vision Tolima 2025” and the departmental and municipal development plans. Faced with this lack of information to understand the dynamics of these sectors and their contribution to local and regional development, this research project was carried out, the scope of which is given by the qualitative research strategy proposed from a mixed approach of “cultural mapping " From this methodological perspective, we sought to respond. What are the current dynamics of the cultural and creative sectors in the city of Ibagué, their relationships with each other and with support industries from a creative and cultural mapping approach? For this, it was proposed to create an inventory from databases of public and private organizations identifying individuals, groups, organizations and institutions involved in the activities that make up the local productive system of culture and creativity of the sectors selected for the study. Thus, how to characterize the sectors with socio-economic indicators and identify the relationships between the actors in the sector and those in support.
