Resumen

Individuals are subject to different practices that the outside world offers. Moreover, the socialization and cultural transformations that have occurred in the course of history, the body has been a striking theme and after having been studied by several researchers have established multiple theories, one of them has been the phenomenon of conformity, which is evidenced in the adoption of styles and trends of the modern world and how these are related to practices on and with the body. In this way, the objectives established to develop the research were based on knowing the ideal of aesthetics perceived by the participants, in order to determine the factors that influenced the adoption of modern guidelines and trends. Two women participated; one of them had to have undergone one or two plastic surgeries and the other had to maintain habits of care such as excessive exercise and rigor with respect to the food she eats. The results obtained show features of the phenomenon; it also reflects how it is expressed through different practices and ideals.
