Resumen
The annual precipitations in the different zones of the Department of Tolima play a very important role when evaluating the behaviour of the hydrological cycle and its spatial distribution. In this sense, Tolima has 98 rainfall stations distributed in 39 municipalities of the department registered by IDEAM, however, daily rainfall records are not always obtained due to natural or external factors and that is why in this report a Downscaling model is implemented for the disaggregation of rainfall series from monthly scale to daily scale and the implementation of the cascade model for the conservation of the statistical characteristics of the original rainfall series in order to obtain three different tests of simulations (R1, R2 and R3) for each series of data per meteorological analysis station with the help of the mathematical software OCTAVE; and thus show the scale behaviour of the method of moments (Q-Moments) to estimate the empirical parameters of the rain series over time with linear regression models with the help of MATLAB mathematical software and catalog the statistical characteristics of the precipitations of Tolima according to the representative factors of the terrain (Elevation and Latitude).
