    Asistencia de investigación: Análisis de la percepción de impacto en los jóvenes graduados del Programa Avancemos.

    This article focuses on presenting some of the findings obtained from the research project on the perception of impact of the Adult Literacy Program Avancemos of the University of Ibagué, Colombia. For this work, two of the evaluated dimensions were taken into account: Personal and Cognitive Sphere. To this end, a mixed research methodology was used and 101 graduates of the Avancemos program participated, between 18 and 28 years old, where 51% corresponded to women and 49% to men. Also the participation of 14 teachers, 15 students, 2 former managers, and a family member of one of the graduates. A Likert-type scale was designed and validated, and the qualitative contribution was introduced through the realization of focus groups. The main result is a generalized perception of the positive impact of the Avancemos Program on its graduates, with greater emphasis on the variables related to the importance for graduates to seek the well-being of their community and their desire to pursue higher education studies. This research provided evaluation dimensions and a validated instrument for measuring the impact of programs of this nature, taking into account the perception of the beneficiaries, which can be used in similar exercises.

    Asistencia de investigación: Línea base del impacto de la variabilidad climática en los sectores económico, social, agrícola e industrial del departamento del Tolima para los años 2014 y 2015.

    This study sought to identify the impacts of climate variability in the department of Tolima during 2014 and 2015, which focused on the negative factors generated in the economic, social, agricultural, and industrial sectors. The main problem identified is summarized in the impacts they have with the passage of climatic phenomena, affecting the economy, the health of the population, productivity and yield of crops and companies in the region. In this research, strategies were established to mitigate and adapt the department of Tolima to the effects that the constant variation of the climate leaves on the economic, social, agricultural, and industrial sectors.

    Calibración y puesta en marcha de un prototipo de máquina a flexión para el apoyo a la enseñanza aprendizaje de la mecánica de materiales

    In this paper, we present the calibration results of a bending machine prototype, designed and constructed for bending beam failure, in accordance with the INV E 2012 regulation. In the calibration process, test beams of different flexural strengths were failed, both in the prototype and in the calibrated machine. From the resistance to compression of concrete cylinders after 7 and 14 days of curing, the cracking stresses of the obtained resistances were calculated and a comparative analysis was made with the crack modules obtained for the prototype and the calibrated machine. The results obtained indicate that the prototype shows values of cracking modules between 96% and 97% of those obtained with the calibrated machine and that it is therefore a good alternative at low cost for use as a support tool for teaching in the area of structures in the Civil engineering department of Universidad de Ibagué.

    Construcción y puesta en marcha de tres prototipos de máquina de compresión como apoyo a los laboratorios de mecánica de materiales en el programa de Ingeniería Civil

    This document shows the results of calibration of a prototype of compression machine, designed and built for failure of mortar cylinders, in accordance with the regulation INV E 2012. In the process, 14 and 28 days of curing specimens were used, and they were tested both in the prototype and in the calibrated machine. Based on the results obtained, the cracking stresees of tested specimens were calculated and a comparative analysis was made for the prototype and the calibrated machine. As a result, it was determined that the prototype indicates values between 97% and 98% of similarity compared to the calibrated machine. With the above it is concluded that the reliability of the results allows the prototype to be used as a support instrument for laboratory practices in Mechanics of Materials course.

    Diseño de infraestructura y elementos de mobiliario urbano de paraderos, para el sistema de transporte público de la ciudad de Ibagué

    The bus stops are part of the movable infrastructure, which is an influential factor in the operation of the Public Public Transport service (TPC), since it is there where the safe ascent and descent of the passengers is made, therefore, it is important that these stops are comfortable and safe to exercise the waiting time while the bus arrives. Most of the furniture in Ibagué is little used by the users of the system, because there is a perception of insecurity in these places and the vandalism has meant that they are not in good condition to provide the service. The objective of this research is to design the infrastructure and elements of the urban furniture of the public transportation system in the city of Ibagué, to offer the community a whereabouts able to operate optimally and provide a waiting time for the service more comfortable, promoting the use of these and thus increasing citizen culture, road safety and contributing to the correct mobility of the Tolima Capital. In the work we identify the characteristics and design criteria that users would expect to have in a bus stop, in order to achieve a more pleasant and useful waiting time, characteristics that are taken into account in order to carry out two designs where, through surveys of the users, the level of acceptance was evaluated for the selection of the final design, obtaining a 54% acceptance for the selected whereabouts.

    Diseño de la ruta óptima de regulación de válvulas de la red de distribución de tanques del Ibal en la ciudad de Ibagué

    The IBAL is the company in charge of supplying drinking water in the city of Ibagué. In order to fulfill this mission, a series of processes must be fulfilled. The process of valve regulation consists of preserving a control of the water pressure generated by the water. tanks and maintain a stable water level for the continuous supply of potable water to the sectors, this process is carried out daily in 5 different tanks located in the city of Ibagué, reason why the operator must be transported in a vehicle to all these points . In order to improve the valve regulation process by reducing transport times, an optimization of the routing is generated, as well as a time study generating a standardization of the execution times of the operation, developing a control of the process .

    The main objective of this work was to present a organizational and salary structural Proposal for the Educational Institution of North Tolima. To solve this, a proposal of organizational structure was made, a restructuring of function’s manual and construction of salary structure; considering the tool of direct observation, the application of a questionnaire and a joint work of experts. Based on the results obtained proposals were made about the work positions representative inside the institution, with the aim of making changes in the functions of these, achieving a redistribution of labor charges generating an organizational structure, that is flexible and adaptable to the development plan proposed by the institution. the selection of representative work positions for each appointment; to eliminate the subjectivity and find a relevant organizational and salary structure. In the same way to perform the statistical analysis was used the statistical software Curve Expert. Through the results obtained it’s concludes that the lineal model is accepted in the management structure; the exponential in the operating structure; and teacher structure, because of the homogeneity in the work positions it’s not possible to make a salary chart, due to the teachers are regula which classifies them in a category, thus restricting the construction of a salary chart.

    Estado del arte para el diseño de una cadena de recuperación de llantas usadas en el contexto urbano considerando las decisiones del ruteo de vehículos

    The following document presents the result of an exhaustive bibliographical review related to the design of routes under the approach of the problem of vehicle routing and its applicability in the design of supply chains, which is exposed and analyzed through the development of three chapters. In the first of them, a theoretical basis is constituted that allows to identify the fundamental concepts of the Vehicle Routing Problem, the main tool for the design of routes in operational research and in the industrial sector at present, through the analysis of its evolution historical and parallel of the different variants that this method contemplates. In the second chapter, with the objective of consolidating the information initially proposed, the characterization of five real cases proposed in the literature is carried out, where different variants based on the basic technique of the research are applied. In the third chapter, the identification of the relevant aspects of the vehicle routing issues for the design of a collection system is carried out; in addition to the current situation of the city of Ibagué with respect to these components, in such a way that based on information from different relevant entities, different proposals are made. All of the above, in order to establish a consolidated set of information that is useful for the main project and to comply with the objectives set for this research assistance that are referenced below.

    Límites de aceptación para las unidades de producto terminado según sea la capacidad del proceso en Diana Corporación S.A.S.

    In the production plant of Diana Corporación S.A.S. in the municipality of El Espinal in the department of Tolima, the Diana brand rice is produced. For the company it is important that its finished product complies with the established quality standards. The percentage of broken grain that the units of finished product possess is the most important quality characteristic because it is this one that gives the commercial value to the product. For this reason a capacity analysis study was carried out to determine the specification limits that must be had for Diana brand rice, taking into account the quantity of accepted units, since if quality policies are not complied with, spaces can be generated for potential sanctions and the legal requirements and customer satisfaction are notoriously affected. The development of the work was carried out in 2 hoppers of the packing area with different design; these hoppers handle a flow of channeled type which is not recommended for the process they handle. The study was performed 3 times on each hopper, where approximately 32 samples of finished product were taken and 8 during the filling of each hopper. These samples were taken to the laboratory of the production plant to determine the percentage of broken grain that had one, these data were recorded in a format that was created during the collection of samples. It began by using Shewhart's control charts to verify that the data collected was under statistical control, the charts were used with control limits of ±3σ. Those data which exceeded the control limits were removed from the study and an analysis was performed describing the actions taken during the collection and analysis of that sample. After verifying that the data were under statistical control, a series of hypothesis tests were carried out to determine if the replicas made of each hopper were statistically similar in mean and in mean. In the case of a deviation, it was found that one of the replicas did not coincide statistically with the other replicas, so this one was considered a separate hopper. Those hoppers that were statistically similar in mean and deviation were joined together to create a single control chart, perform a general capacity analysis and be able to determine the acceptance limits for Diana brand rice. These were taken into account at the time of carrying out the capacity analysis, because one requirement for this analysis is that the data behave normally. In such a case, if they were not normal, a goodness of fit test had to be carried out to identify the type of distribution of the data, the data of the replicas had a normal distribution but at the moment of joining the replicas that were statistically similar and performing the normality test again it was found that the data did not follow a normal distribution, these data were transformed by means of the Box-Cox transformation. Finally, a capacity analysis was performed on each hopper studied and on the union of the replicas that statistically coincided in mean and deviation, it was verified that none of these gave acceptable results in the capacity analysis. It was necessary to identify the intervals of tolerance, these intervals had to comply with a minimum of accepted units, after having the intervals of tolerance the analysis of capacity was carried out again only for the union of the replicas to determine if these intervals were acceptable for the finished product. It was concluded that the limits of acceptance of percentage of split grain that were determined increased the number of units accepted in its process but decreased the demand on the quality of the product, that is why it was recommended to Diana Corporación S.A.S to change the design of the packaging hoppers for a design with mass flow and to carry out the study again, since with the current design it is not possible to meet the quality requirements.

The development of acoustics is extensive and requires an understanding of the functioning of the sensory organs responsible for auditory perception, to understand the physical fundamentals present in the electroacoustic elements that compose audio systems in the current market and how they can be use properly, in addition to its implementation for the conditioning of spaces.
