- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoAspectos toxicológicos y toxinológicos de hembras y machos de la araña Phoneutria boliviensis (F. O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1897)(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Cortés Barrios, Juan Nicolás; Franco Pérez, Lida Marcela; Valenzuela Rojas, Juan Carlos; Nagles Vidal, Edgar OrlandoToxicological and toxinological aspects of the venom of females and spider males. They are a kind of importance in Colombia. The LD50 of the venom was determined on Ctenus sp and Hemidactylus frenatus; The dams were injected with the poison to determine the LD50 with different solutions diluted in Ringer's solution; supplied supplied were: 1,100, 500, 1000, 1200, 1800, 2000, 2200 mg / kg of animal for Ctenus sp., 2, 2.3, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4.5, 5, 8 mg / kg of animal for Hemidactylus frenatus To estimate the LD50, consult the following 24 hours and analyze the data in a generalized linear model. The results for LD50 in the volume were 2.03 and 639.5 mg / kg for Hemidactylus frenatus and Ctenus sp., Respectively. In the females it was 2.20 mg / kg and 4244.21 mg / kg for Hemidactylus frenatus and Ctenus sp., Respectively. The antioxidant properties were determined with cyclic voltammetry, the peaks were confirmed that confirm the presence of antioxidant properties of the venom between sexes, being higher in the females. The amount of material produced for females was 6.3 ± 3.6 μL while males 3.3 ± 1.8 μL. The protein content in females was 0.025 mg and males 0.01 mg. The results indicate that the poison of the telephone machines is more effective and toxic on the prey and also it shows a great amount in the vertebrates, although the people obtained a production of poison and also a mayor property antioxidant.

- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDetección de imidacloprid y timerosal usando electrodos serigrafíados de carbono(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Paez Quintero, Joan Sebastian; Nagles, Edgar Orlando; García Beltrán, OlimpoIn this Project, an electrochemical device unmodified was developed, it was of low instrumental cost, easy use and application, selective and highly sensitive for the determination of imidacloprid and thimerosal fumigants. To characterize the electrode (SPCE), first it was taken into account its sensitivity by making measurements at different pH, determining that the most optimal pH for imidacloprid was 7.1 while for the thimerosal it was 4.5. It was used cyclic voltammetry techniques, the effective variables were studied in the electrode such as scanning speed, accumulation potential and accumulation time. This unmodified electrode (SPCE) showed good repeatability, excellent selectivity and high sensitivity.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDetección de los colorantes sintéticos amarillo crepúsculo y tartrazina en alimentos usando electrodos serigrafiados de carbono modificados con quitosano(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Barrero Ramirez, Juan David; Nagles, Edgar Orlando; Garcia, Olimpo JoseThe dyes are more useful in the food industry, they are important to improve the visible aspect of a product developed for consumption1, which in turn does not lose its color by contact with light and oxygen, among them can be classified into dyes of natural origin or manufactured synthetically, these properties have allowed synthetic dyes to occupy a first place in the food industry2 but the consumption of these in excess is responsible for health, causing side effects in the body of people This way must have a quantification of the dyes and perform the electrochemical techniques, these techniques are found in the physicochemical properties of AC and TZ such as; Resistance to light, pH and oxidation capacity in the presence of air, The objective of this work will be based on the development of an electrochemical sensor for AC and TZ to be displayed in food using a carbon-screened electrode modified with chitosan for its control in the handling of dyes in the food industry.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDeterminación de imidacloprid en miel utilizando técnicas electroanalítica y cromatográfica(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Rivera Guzmán, Karla Estefanía; García Beltrán, Olimpo JoséThe simple modification of a screen printed single walled carbon nanotubes with ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-metilimidazolium tetrafluorborate allowed the development of a fast and selective methodology to determine imidacloprid (IMI). The morphological and conductive characteristics of the modified surface were analyzed with scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The modified surface showed great activity towards the reduction of IMI to -1.2 V. The analytical variables were optimized using linear sweep voltammetry at 0.1 V for 60s, obtaining a limit of detection of 0.21 mg L-1 (0.82 µMol L -1). Relative standard deviation with six different electrodes was of 2.6% (n = 5). Finally, the potential interferers were studied and the sensor was applied in the determination of IMI using samples of commercial honey with recovery between 88.0 and 105.0 % for IMI.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDinámica de calidad atmosférica a través de un gradiente de elevación en la cuenca del Rio Combeima(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Pedroza Santafe, Daniel Felipe; Diaz Monsalve, Juan David; Moreno Palacios, Miguel Cesar; Torres Benítez, Alfredo JoséThe present study evaluated the dynamics of the atmospheric quality and determined in a preliminary way its relation with the index of atmospheric purity and the index of liquid diversity, through a gradient of elevation in the basin of the river Combeima, where seven stations of sampling, randomly selecting 10 trees per stations for a total of 70 points. The lichen species present in each forophyte were collected and the most abundant were Parmotrema cf. bangii (29.2%, 1914 cm2) followed by Pyxine pyxinoides. (7.78%, 918 cm2), Fissurina cf. rufula (6.28%, 741 cm2); In addition, measurements of the O3, NO2, S02 and CO gases were made using an Aeroqual S500. The analysis of variance found significant differences in the concentration of the four gases between stations: NO2 (n = 6, H = 165.95, p = <0.0001), SO2 (n = 6, H = 870.18, p = <0.0001), O3 (n = 6, H = 183.35, p = <0.0001) and CO (n = 6 H = 43.16, p => 0.9999). On the other hand, Spearman correlation tests were performed and it could be demonstrated that the LDV was the index that best correlated with the four gases, mainly with NO2 (-0.89) and highly significant (0.0287). likewise, the Shannon, Dominance and Margalef indices were used, where station four obtained the highest average values of wealth and diversity, while the Dominance index was higher for station one. Finally, a non-parametric variance analysis (Kruskal Wallis) was performed to correlate the behavior of atmospheric gases with atmospheric quality indices.

- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEvaluación de los niveles de presión sonora de dieciséis instituciones educativas del municipio de Ibagué y su efecto sobre la salud en los estudiantes(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Gómez Castro, Erika Paola; Ramírez Guevara, María Fernanda; Molina, Yair GuillermoIbagué is a city considered with high levels of noise pollution and this is generating some health issues in people. Under that circumstance, it was necessary to visit 16 urban and rural institutions, where it was applied 2088 surveys to students and 1431 surveys to parents in order to evaluate the noise perception and the sociodemographic background, later it was made 137 noise measurements outside and inside of the institutions, using the monitoring protocol according to the resolution 0627 of April 2006, also blood pressure of 1344 students and tone audiometry of 664 students between the ages of 10 to 15 were measured. The findings showed that there is a higher noise level in urban institutions than in rural. Furthermore, in the blood pressure measurements the 94,1% present a normal blood pressure and the 5,9% present a high blood pressure; also, there was not a significant interrelation with the noise due to other variables that affect the blood pressure of children and young people exist. The hearing tests in most of the institutions showed a minimum, mild or moderate hearing loss which has a strong interrelation with the noise produced inside of the institutions. It is evident that the students’ hearing health is being affected by the noise exposure within the classrooms, hallways and the cafeteria of the educational campuses.

- PublicaciónRestringidoLíquenes cortícolas como bioindicadores de la calidad Atmosférica en reservas naturales de la sociedad civil del municipio de Ibagué(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Díaz Villanueva, Estefanía; Morales Nieto, Juan David; Moreno Palacios, Miguél CesarCorticolous lichens, due to their sensibility to atmospheric pollutants, can be utilized as bioindicators. The objective of this research study was to evaluate the atmospheric quality in six Nature Reserves of the Civil Society (RNSC for its acronym in Spanish) in the city of Ibagué, through the implementation of indicators based on the study of corticolous lichen. Ten phorophytes of different species were selected and samples were taken from each one of them, where the most abundant families in the six RNSCs were Arthoniaceae and Roccellaceae; likewise, the most abundant species in the six RNSCs were Physcia undulata and Parmotrema bangii. In order to do the evaluation of the atmospheric quality in the RNSCs, it was necessary to use the indicators based on lichen communities: Lichen Diversity Value (LDV), which showed that the RSCN EntreAguas presents the highest diversity and the RSCN Aguas Frías the lowest. Jaramillo and Botero’s index of atmospheric purity (IAP) showed that the RNCS Orquídeas del Tolima had the highest coverage value and the RSCN Santafé de los Guaduales the lowest. On the other hand, LeBlanc and Sloover’s IAP showed a higher diversity in the RNSC Gaia and minimum values in the RSCN Aguas Frías. The Shannon index showed that the RNSC EntreAguas obtained the highest average value, while the Dominance and Berger-Parker indexes were higher for the RNSC Gaia. Finally, a Generalized Linear Model (GLM) was conducted, which allowed to estimate the atmospheric quality in comparative terms.

- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoRelación de la actividd ureásica y la respiración basal del suelo en un agroecosistema del municipio de Ibagué, Tolima(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Cardenas Rojas, Cesar Augusto; Sanchez Buitrago, Diego Alexander; Salguero Londoño, Blanca MyriamThe objective of this research work was based on knowing the state or health of the soil in an agroecosystem of the municipality of Ibagué, Tolima where it was necessary to study biochemical variables such as ureasic activity and basal respiration which are the characteristics sensitive to changes that occur in the environment. Six samples (to cover the two climatic seasons, rainy and dry season) were treated in three different components: conventional coffee, polyculture and a forest in conservation. The collected samples are processed to study the main properties (basal respiration and ureasic activity) and others for properties like him (pH and the percentage of humidity), as a result the forest is obtained in the conservation of the highest values in the two properties of study and in the two climatic periods to have better environmental conditions and be far from human intervention, while polyculture and conventional coffee their values were not too important to be directly related to changes in their environment and anthropic activities .
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoRelación entre el comportamiento depredador y la fuerza de los pedipalpos de Chactas sp. (scorpiones: chactidae)(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Avilés Mosquera, Juan Camilo; Medina Hernández, María Laura; Franco Pérez, Lida Marcela; González Gómez, Julio CésarThe success of a predator depends on its ability to capture, manipulate, detect and consume its prey; This is a consequence of the particular strategies that include defense mechanisms and range of availability that each sex has at the time of feeding. In this way, sexual dimorphism (SD) can have implications in trophic behavior, causing a reduction in intersex competition for trophic resources (intersex partition of trophic niche). Among arachnids, scorpions have sexual dimorphism in different parts of the body, one of them being the pedipalps. The genus Chactas, belonging to the family Chactidae, has males and females with a marked sexual dimorphism, not only in body mass (size), but also in their pedipalps (chelas). These allow to capture and manipulate the prey, which makes them an excellent model to determine the trophic implications of SD in arachnids. For this work, aspects of biomechanics were established through the measurement of the pedipalp strength of males and females collected in the municipality of Ibagué (Tolima, Colombia). Likewise, the predatory behavior on different types of prey was evaluated with the following variables: acceptance rate, immobilization time, use of the stinger and frequency of use of the stinger. The results suggested intersex differences in the number of attacks, use of the stinger, frequency of use of the stinger, as well as the strength of the pedipalps where the females presented greater strength with respect to the males. On the other hand, there were no significant differences between sexes for the acceptance rate and immobilization time
