Periodically sampling the glasses at different firing processes with temperatures of 550 °C and obtaining their respective spectra of absorption, emission and excitation in a systematic way, some change in the absorption of the matrix that reflected the production of the crystals was monitored, it was evaluated which thermal treatment generates the greatest emission. Finding the typical absorptions and emissions, an optical technique will be designed so that the process achieved from the study and optical characterization of CaF2 nanocrystals in the B2O3-CaF2 glass-ceramic allows the implementation of a portable device used to determine the composition of organic matter in soils. Therefore, it was confirmed that the thermal treatment of 76 hours in the glass favors the creation of nanocrystals in the vitreous matrix of CaF2 due to the increase of the represented absorption and it was verified that the nanocrystals of CaF2 increase from 15nm-45nm after a thermal treatment of 640°C and finally to 110nm after 715°C of treatment.
