- PublicaciónRestringidoEstudio de vulnerabilidad sísmica y recomendaciones de reforzamiento estructural para el edificio de la antigua catedral del municipio de Ambalema, por medio de caracterizaciones geométricas y de materiales y modelación por elementos finitos y elementos rígidos(2015) Girón Vélez, Santiago Andrés; Grupo de Investigación Rastro Urbano; Vallecilla Montoya, Jorge OlmedoThis project contents the seismic vulnerability evaluation of the antique cathedral building of municipality of Ambalema in the Department of Tolima. With the seismic vulnerability evaluation has been set to check the stability of the structure under gravitational loads and the proper recommendations for structural reinforcement if required, in purpose to guarantee structural stability and its preservation, given such as importance that this structure represents for the cultural patrimony of the region and the country. The project is divided in the phases: the first one is about documentation and loads evaluation of the structure. Initially an investigation of the clinic history of the building was made, the uses that the structure has had along its use life, modifications, changes and improvements that have taken place over it, events that have affected it, and other aspects. Parallel to this, architectonic and topographic surveys were made in order to make digital plans that allowed to make a first graphic registration of the architectonic and structural characteristics of the building. This first phase also cover the measuring of the mechanical characteristics both linear and non-linear of the materials that compose the building, those of adobe, interphase mortar and wood. Laboratory tests, field measurements (sclerometry, nucleus samples). From laboratory results and those taken measurements the team expects to obtain specific weights of the pieces and constructive materials, as well as compression resistance, flexo-traction, module of elasticity, module of fracture and fracture criteria, which are being developed in the investigation. Second and third phases are out of the reach of this document, however the panning has been enunciated. In the second part of the project a lecture of the result is principally going to be made, as well as the registration and qualification of the information and the development of calculation models and its validation. It’s planned to make a modeling of finite elements and rigid elements of the structures, which will end up on relevant information respecting the actions over them, stresses acting on them and failing mechanisms or collapse. The third phase of the interdisciplinary work is about the recommendations for structural reinforcement and the restoration of the architectonic elements that may be affected.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoProyecto revive San Agustín: restauración del patrimonio histórico y arquitectónico de San Agustín Huila(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Bejarano Espitia, Nicolas; Velandia, CesarSan Agustin is a municipality of development in the department of Huila very rich in flora and fauna, also has a great power in archeology having worldwide recognition, but a very architecturally forgotten municipality. San Agustín contains a colonial architecture and is distinguished by its ornaments that contain the buildings, more than half of the municipality contains this architecture that has been made over the years. Unfortunately, this architecture has a series of problems and needs that have been developing affecting the architectural heritage of the municipality. These effects are due to lack of recognition and appreciation of the patrimony in San Agustín. Many of these effects are due to carelessness, lack of maintenance in buildings, demolition of buildings to build new buildings with other architectural criteria, and supposed restorations bringing materiality and style to another point without respecting the criteria and the marked ornamentation. It generates an approach to restoration and conservation of the architecture based on laws defending the heritage of the municipality, making three aspects in buildings, which will be made depending on the need for building, which are: restoration, maintenance and protection. Rescuing the architecture and giving it value and recognition in the sector, a master plan will be made to integrate the architecture with all its surroundings, so that it is not only visited for its archeology and landscapes but also for its great architecture. New road profiles are created for the connectivity of the sector, generating primary, secondary and tertiary routes depending on the development and use of the sector's land, also taking into account the type of transport that transits in different points since it is very varied. Improving a road maya by creating meeting points such as linear parks, central parks and generating milestones in the municipality to help its development. KEYWORDS: Architectural Heritage, Master Plan, Restoration, Conservation, Protection, Law.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoRehabilitación urbana y arquitectónica de la Granja San Jorge(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Franco Perilla, Nicolás; Fandiño Ramírez, Juan FernandoThe building of the Farm San Jorge in Ibagué, is part of a list of goods of importance to the city due to its historical and architectural value. However, its worth is usually ignored by citizens being isolated from everyday life by its role as an educational institution coupled with the physical fact of its location away from any concurrency node. In this way, the project formulated consists of the revitalization of the San Jorge Farm and its area of influence starting with the rethinking of the function of the cloister, with the aim of proposing a cultural offer for the community and bringing the population closer to an appropriation of the good without shifting its use as an educational institution. According to the above, the project optimizes and expands the physical spaces of the building for the development of the school's activities through a proposal of new work that respects the cloister while supplementing the needs of the growing population Student.
