The United States was consolidated as the target export market, for the purposes of the work were identified its main economic characteristics, consumer behavior, consumption trends and the main factors that determine the demand for the product and the conditions of access that must meet to enter the market, to complement is developed a packaging strategy that allows the conservation and proper handling of the product during transportation and distribution processes, additionally defines the profile and logistics process including services, routes and tariffs that complement the export strategy.

En busca de oportunidades de mercado internacional y expansión del negocio, el Grupo Empresarial M SAS inició un importante emprendimiento: exportar café colombiano al mercado canadiense. Este trabajo examina los aspectos estratégicos y técnicos cruciales para la ejecución exitosa de esta exportación. El análisis profundiza en el mercado internacional, las estructuras de costos logísticos, las evaluaciones financieras y la planificación del proceso de exportación. El objetivo general de este trabajo es realizar un estudio de factibilidad para conocer la viabilidad de exportar café tostado desde Huila, Colombia, hacia Ontario, Canadá, demostrando la rentabilidad del producto y de realizar una exportación en este mercado. Los objetivos específicos abarcan evaluar la capacidad exportadora del Grupo Empresarial M, analizar la competitividad del producto en el mercado canadiense, realizar estudios técnicos y logísticos y realizar un análisis financiero integral. La lógica del proyecto surge de una combinación de experiencia personal y experiencia académica en administración de negocios internacionales, enfatizando la importancia para la expansión del Grupo Empresarial M. Además, este proyecto sirve como guía para otros productores de café colombianos, fomentando las exportaciones globales. Ontario, Canadá, fue elegida específicamente debido a su próspero mercado que aprecia el café de alta calidad, ofreciendo una oportunidad para los exportadores de café colombiano. Metodológicamente, el estudio tiene un enfoque cuantitativo mixto, integrando métodos descriptivos, secuenciales y correlaciónales dentro de un diseño secuencial explicativo. Esta elección metodológica garantiza resultados sólidos y confiables. El trabajo se basa en la teoría de formulación y evaluación de proyectos, además de análisis de mercado, exploración técnica y evaluaciones financieras. Las conclusiones extraídas de la investigación destacan el potencial de mercado en Canadá, destacando la importancia de la diferenciación de calidad, la superación de los desafíos logísticos y la necesidad de adaptabilidad a las cambiantes preferencias de los consumidores. También, a partir de las conclusiones se plantean unas recomendaciones estratégicas para el Grupo Empresarial M SAS. Estos tienen un enfoque en la mejora continua de la calidad, la optimización de la logística a través de asociaciones estratégicas, el desarrollo de estrategias de marketing digital específicas, la investigación de mercado continua para estar al tanto de las tendencias de los consumidores y las alianzas estratégicas con empresas locales en Canadá. Este trabajo es fundamental en la estrategia de expansión global del Grupo Empresarial M SAS, ofreciendo conocimientos, datos, análisis, recomendaciones y orientación estratégica para la exportación exitosa de café colombiano al mercado canadiense.

Currently there are several means to seek possibilities of target markets, based on information on exports, political behavior, economic, social and geographical, finding markets similar to the local if possible to carry out an export process properly. Therefore, the company considered the possibility of exporting mattresses as a product with differentiating factors in quality and guarantee on what is offered, where it seeks the excellence of a local company that would be the incursion into foreign markets that generate sustainable growth for a long period of time. This work is done with theoretical bases and the company can use it as a guide to carry out the export of their products, but it is necessary to mention that no economic values or costs are added to the process by the constant change in some prices of intermediaries.

In order to be clear to the company the process of the transition towards internationalization. To do this, a SWOT matrix had to be implemented in order to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company. In turn, a matrix of 5 countries with a high consumption of the products of the bakery sector. Which were the United States, Chile, Cuba, Panama and Peru. Chosen to elaborate the selection matrix and by means of some variables, the 3 countries could be identified. As a target country, Chile was positioned, potential country Peru and contingency country United States. On the other hand, the “Achira” was chosen as a product to be exported with INCOMTERM FBO. For this, some changes in the size and packaging of the product had to be taken into account. Distribution and promotion strategies were generated to enter the Chilean market.
