- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDimensionamiento de una red experimental de 5 kw de salida(Universidad de Ibagué., 2019) Fajardo Gallo, Rodrigo Adolfo; Valverde Granja, AgustínThis research requires the dimensioning of an experimental network of 5 KW at the end, where five phases are established: execution of supported calculations, selection of inverter, the dimensioning of the electrical system, structural design and an economic proposal supported through RETScreen software in order to provide a solid research structure to the project. The final results of this project were a photovoltaic generator that consists of 22 solar panels with the Canadian Solar model CS6K-280P of 280 W each, these have a connection scheme of 11 solar panels in series and 2 branches in parallel which are connected with their respective maximum power tracker (MPPT) in the inverter brand ABB model PVI-6000-TL-OUTD of 6 KW, the network occupies a total area of 43.63 m2. Regarding the structural design, we worked with Hersic brand with aluminum supports for the fastening of the solar panels and to support the total weight of the modules and the aluminum structure a support made with structural steel profiles of 50x30x2mm was designed, that is conformed by 12 beams of 6 meters long distributed in 3 rows of 12 meters in double beam mode separated by 10 cm cuts of the same profile. On the other hand, 14 AWG conductors will be used for the DC section and 10 AWG for the AC section; As for the protections of the circuits to be used after the inverter, a thermomagnetic switch Legrand TX3 model 403610 curve C and a differential switch Schneider Electric model A9R71240 of sensitivity mA were selected, which will be located in the alternate voltage section ( VAC), in the DC section it is not necessary to use protection systems because the inverter comes with its own integrated disconnection system; In addition to the above, it was decided to work with a bidirectional Meter Schneider Electric IEM3119 model A9MEM3110 to account for the energy produced by the photovoltaic generator and the one that is being used from the network. Finally, through the use of RETScreen software it was possible to demonstrate that for this project, the project will have an IRR before taxes of 11.5% with a net present value (NPV) of $ 8,359,954, the annual savings in life cycle they correspond to $ 816,865 / year; It was also evidenced that when this photovoltaic generator is put into operation, a gross annual reduction of 3.3Tco2 will be made, also RETScreen software results show that the initial investment for the project will be recovered 8 years after the generator is running and after that period of time, the earnigs will double that investment on year 2025.
- PublicaciónSólo datosEvent-Triggered Digital Implementation of MPPT for Integration of PV Generators in DC Buses of Microgrids(Applied Computer Sciences in Engineering, 2018-09-13) López-Santos, Oswaldo; Merchán-Riveros, María C.; García, GermainThis paper presents an event-triggered approach to optimally implement a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm into a Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The proposed method allows improving the amount and distribution of time required for executing control tasks. The used nested loop control architecture has an outer loop of MPPT generating the conductance reference used by an inner loop which regulates the input conductance of a DC-DC converter. This last loop enforces a sliding-mode loss-free-resistor behavior for the power converter by means of a simple hysteresis comparator. Computations required by the MPPT algorithm are synchronously executed by the two possible commutation events produced by the inner loop during a switching period. Then, the acquisition of signals must be activated only at an instant before each one of the switching events, releasing the most of the time to implement other tasks. This last characteristic and the use of a nested loop control architecture facilitate the integration of the other essential control functions for photovoltaic (PV) generators in microgrids. Simulation and experimental results confirm the high potetialities of this implementation approach.
