- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiagnóstico económico, social y cultural del resguardo indígena “La Sortija” Ortega - Tolima: Propuestas prácticas y comerciales.(Universidad de Ibagué, 2019) Jaramillo Guzmán, Juan Esteban; Yate, Íngrid PaolaThe present investigation takes as a problem the socioeconomic and cultural conditions of the indigenous community La Sortija, in Ortega, Tolima, and how these generate deficiencies for the growth of the community and its projects. This problem has as its origin the lack of employment and the low capacity for economic acquisition. As a solution, a commercial proposal is formulated, one that encourages economic growth and activates the commercialization of what was found to be the most produced product by the farming families of this group: corn. Thus, the private organization Mercacentro is stablished as the main retailer of the product. It was found to be the most appropriate retailer due to its influence on the trade of the Tolima region, and because of its experience on introducing similar products to the market; not to mention its ability to make attractive and effective offers in cities like Ibagué: which have the capacity of economic correspondence that the community requires to improve their quality of life. In order to achieve such association, the needs and interests of both groups were evaluated and the way in which such linkage could be carried out was analyzed. This analysis focused on finding how to establish a clear quality review of the product (to be competent in the market), and in proposing a realistic system according to the production conditions of La Sortija. Although all the measures proposed herein await implementation, the framework is set from the measurement of data and statistics, prediction of problems, and proposals consistent with the context studied through interviews and field work.
