This document discloses the results obtained when testing metal cutting specimens in a constructed prototype, and the data was compared with the calibrated machine. Aluminum, brass and steel bronze specimens were tested. In the fault process, five specimens were used for each material and type of test both in the prototype and in the properly calibrated machine. The maximum shear stresses of the specimens were calculated and compared between the two machines to determine that the prototype and the calibrated machine meet close values and thus be reliable. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that the prototype is a good alternative as a support instrument in laboratory tests in the Materials Mechanical subject.

Set in laboratory practices in which were calculated the dynamic properties of scale models disrupted in a vibrating table. Using the spectrum analysis method. In this research is realized the calculation of dynamic properties such as damping and fundamental frequency of a particular specific model. Pivoting in this trials it is made the layout of laboratory practices. Reinforcing the topics showed in the class; heightening the development of the investigative capacity on the students; creating new spaces of questioning and knowledge throughout the practice on behalf of the pursuit of the goals on each draft. The written guidelines are designed to be applied with any kind of model.
