- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoImpacto de la acreditación institucional en el desempeño de la universidad colombiana(Universidad de Ibagué, 2019) Granada García, Eliana Fernanda; Godoy Bejarano, Jesús MaríaThis work examines the impact of the institutional accreditation on the Colombian universities performance into three dimensions: i) quota demand of higher education’s institutions, ii) Students´ academic performance and, iii) relevance. We used a new database, which have been built from information reported by higher education institutions in the National Higher Education Information System (NHEIS), from the records of the Labor Observatory for Education (LOE) from National Education Ministry (NEM), Colombian Institution for Evaluation of the Education (CIEE) the Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad (CIECTSA) of the National Administrative Department of Statistics (NADS), to estimate a panel data model at the level of each dimension. 83 Colombians universities were taken into account, 31 of them have obtained the institutional accreditation during the period 2003 to 2015. The main results of this study suggest that the relation between institutional accreditation and the enrollment coverage for universities is positive for the levels of technological training programs, Masters Programs and PhD Programs. Accreditation is associated strong and positively with the students’ academic performance and with the recent graduates salaries increase, especially, for the levels of training in specialization and masters programs. However, to obtain an employment for graduates at undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels, accreditation does not seem to be relevant.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de un modelo de sistema integrado de gestión para la planificación de proyectos de construcción de vivienda de interés social.(Universidad de Ibagué, 2019) Meneses Trujillo, Sandra Rocío; Guarnizo Gallo, SandraWith this research work an alternative solution was proposed to the problems presented by the companies of the Construction Sector of social interest housing in the process of design and construction of the projects, for which an Integrated System was designed based on the Project Excellence Model (PEM) model and the ISO 21500 Project Management Standard, supporting the technical construction part in the current Seismic Standard, NSR 10, in such a way that a Project Management Model was generated that allows the evaluation of compliance with constructive process of social interest housing. The Project Excellence Model (PEM) "is a model that allows to measure and improve the projects of any organization, stimulating continuous improvement through innovation and learning. It emerges as an adaptation of the EFQM European Foundation Quality Model (European Foundation for Quality Management), a method that works as a tool or system to measure quality in a company ". (Diana L. Gutiérrez F., 2014, page 1) ISO 21500: Guidelines for Project Management and Management, was published in September 2012, and aims to improve the maturity of project management of all types including construction projects. According to this, this research work contributes to improve planning in the housing construction process, modeling processes and procedures at the level of excellence through the use of the PEM model and ISO 21500, and thus strengthening the construction companies of the Tolima Region.

- PublicaciónRestringidoModelo de implementación para la integración de los requisitos estipulados en las normas ISO 9001:2015 e ISO/IEC 17025:2017 en un laboratorio de suelos, asfaltos y concretos; que incluye las herramientas de calidad y técnicas(Universidad de Ibagué., 2020) Osorio Marín, Jeison Arled; Oviedo Monroy, Jose AlonsoThe objective of this research was to generate an implementation model that integrates ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards in a soil, asphalt and concrete laboratory in the city of Ibagué, Colombia. To achieve this objective, a qualitative, cross-sectional and exploratory research design was used, using a descriptive and propositive method. The result obtained shows the construction of an implementation model that not only integrates the requirements of the standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017, but also presents different technical and quality tools for the execution of the model step by step. The conclusions drawn from this research lead to the identification of a clear alternative for implementing standardization standards, which on one hand certify the quality of the system and its processes (ISO 9001), while the other, accredits your technical knowledge (ISO/IEC 17025) related to your products or services offered. It is important to note that the soil, asphalt and concrete laboratories have a Quality Management System, accredited with ISO 9001:2015; however, this system must be updated to incorporate the proposed implementation model in this research. Finally it is clarified that, the scope of this research is limited to the generation of the model. For subsequent investigations resulting from this study, an evaluation of the generated model will be carried out.

- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEvaluación de las tazas de café mediante el método honey en contraste al método húmedo, en búsqueda del mejoramiento de la calidad de la Finca Versalles(Universidad de Ibagué, 2021) Villanueva Ocampo, Jennifer Katherine; Pérez Vargas, Carlos AndrésThe objective of the present investigation, the application of the Design of Experiments (DOE) tool was determinant, the Taguchi technique was chosen, in which control factors were considered such as fermentation time, type of drying, percentage of humidity of the coffee, and the response variables were analyzed, which in this case was the sensory analysis of the cups of coffee resulting from each experiment. From the result of the Design of Experiments 18 cups were obtained to which the sensory analysis was carried out, of which 1 of the cups obtained a high score, surpassing the result of the sensory evaluation of the cup that is currently produced at Versalles Farm. Therefore it is concluded that, for the Design of Experiments designed in the present investigation, the factors and levels that most influenced the winning cup were: the altitude of the coffee should be above 1,700 meters above sea level, the coffee should contain 100% of the mucilage, that is to say, the coffee should not be subjected to the fermentation stage, and the coffee should be dried directly in the sun. Regarding the percentage of humidity of the bean, the coffee should be evaluated with the conditions previously described and establish if the cup is better with a coffee at 13% humidity or 9% humidity, since this difference is presented between the result obtained in the sensory analysis and the statistical analysis.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de un sistema de control de procesos para la dirección de espacio público y control urbano adscrito a la secretaria de gobierno en la ciudad de Ibagué(Universidad de Ibagué, 2022) Mahecha Vanegas, Leandro Fernando; Pérez Vargas, Carlos AndrésThe design of the process control system for the DIRECTION OF PUBLIC SPACE AND URBAN CONTROL ADDRESSED TO THE SECRETARY OF GOVERNMENT, was developed in the municipality of Ibague, based on the need for real estate development as evidenced by the most recent study (IGAC 2018) on property values in properties with a residential destination in the city. These approaches show a huge gap between the control of construction / urban planning licenses as an important factor for the constructive development of a city and the control that should be over these new licensed buildings and new works without any type of license. The document specializes in defining standards to carry out the processes that correspond to the construction of works in a legitimate manner and according to urban planning in the city of Ibague. It also guarantees an order to be followed by citizens to have efficiency and agility in the processes, corresponding to building licenses and urban planning of their properties.
