- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoDiseño de una planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales domésticas de reúso para el proyecto de vivienda Alminar Samoa(Universidad de Ibagué, 2021) Machado Díaz, Daniela Alejandra; Velásquez Soto, Michael Steven; Delgadillo Mirquez, LilianaThe objective of this research work was to design and evaluate the viability of the construction of a gray wastewater treatment system for reuse in the Alminar Samoa housing project, a complex that has 960 apartments and a commercial mall located in the Ambalá neighborhood, from the city of Ibagué. Taking into account that the inhabitants of this residential complex have had different problems associated with the supply of water, strategies were designed for the reuse of treated gray water as a mean to reduce consumption and satisfy demand. The investigation was divided into four stages: in the first place, the flow calculation was carried out; later, a conventional wastewater treatment plant was designed; then, the construction plans were projected, distributing the space in such a way that the area was reduced and, therefore, the time of displacement of operators; and, finally, the economic feasibility study was developed, obtaining as main indicators an internal rate of return of 193 %, a discounted return period of 1,6 years and a cost-benefit ratio of 6,44. These indicators support the feasibility and sustainability of the study; this way, the proposed strategy is expected to function as a basis for the creation of a replicable system in other residential complexes in the country.
