- PublicaciónSólo datosA model of anaerobic digestion for biogas production using abel equations(Far East Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2017-03-21) Acosta-Humánez, Primitivo B.; Machado-Higuera, Maximiliano; Sinitsyn, Alexander V.Some time ago has been studied mathematical models for biogas production due to its importance in the use of control and optimization of re\-new\-able resources and clean energy. In this paper we combine two algebraic methods to obtain solutions of Abel equation of first kind that arise from a mathematical model to biogas production formulated in France on 2001. The aim of this paper is obtain Liouvillian solutions of Abel's equations through Hamiltonian Algebrization. As an illustration, we present graphics of solutions for Abel equations and solutions for algebrized Abel equations.
- PublicaciónSólo datosMathematical modelling and simulation for biogas production from organic waste(International Journal of Engineering Systems Modelling and Simulation, 2018-05-07) Delgadillo-Mirquez, Liliana; Hernández-Sarabia, Mauricio; Machado-Higuera, MaximilianoThis paper introduces the modelling, simulation of anaerobic digestion process for biogas production from organic waste. Insight on the relevant model parameters is obtained by performing a sensitivity analysis, followed by the estimation of the selected candidates using a sequential quadratic programming algorithm. Calibration and validation of the model are based on experimental data obtained from a pilot-scaled plant, showing that the proposed model is able to correctly predict the Methane production dynamics from few key measurements.
- PublicaciónSólo datosNilpotent Jacobians and Almost Global Stability(Journal of Dynamics and Differential Equations, 2020-07-27) Castañeda, Álvaro; Machado-Higuera, MaximilianoBy one hand, we continue with the study of the liaison between the almost Hurwitz vector fields and density functions. In particular by using maps H with nilpotent Jacobian JH such that their rows are linearly dependent over R, we construct a family of almost Hurwitz vector fields F in dimension larger than two which has the origin as almost global attractor. This last fact is shown by associating an appropriate density function to the vector field F. Moreover, we show new examples of Hurwitz vector fields such that the origin is a global attractor. On the other hand, in the case when the rows of JH are linearly independent over R, we show explicitly the inverse maps of the counterexamples to Generalized Dependence Problem and proving that this inverse maps preserve the linearly independence over R of the nilpotent Jacobian.

- PublicaciónSólo datosTwo blocks connected by a string with variable tension: a dynamic case(Physics Education, 2020-07-28) Herrera Suárez, Hernán Javier; Machado-Higuera, Maximiliano; Muñoz, José HermanIn this paper, the dynamic case of a system made up of two blocks connected by a string over a smooth pulley is revisited. One mass lies on a horizontal surface without friction, and the other mass has a vertical displacement. The motion equation is obtained and its solution is determined using the Mathematica package. Also an experimental montage for this system is made and experimental data for the vertical position y in the function of time t are obtained using a data acquisition system and Tracker video analysis. The relation y vs t can be represented by a polynomial of degree six. An average relative error of 3.61(10.14)% is obtained between the theoretical results acquired with Mathematica and the data taken from Tracker (data acquisition system).
