It’s realized in order to diagnose the current state of the structure, by using two types of analysis, the first one is a qualitative analysis where it is determined that the structure is not vulnerable to risks by the possible occurrence of an earthquake according to the visual parameters of FEMAP – 154. The second one is a quantitative analysis, that by means of measurements and non-destructive testing (FerroScan and Esclerometria),these contribute to translate into a mathematical model the characteristics of the structure and with this model determine that the bulding has seismic vulnerability according to the parameters established in NSR-10, taking the above into account it establishes that in spite of in qualitative analysis structure is not vulnerable, in the quantitative analysis it is, therefore the building needs intervention.

If one thinks about the construction of new facilities, two fundamental points should be put on the balance: the cost that would be incurred and the possible effects on the architectural heritage and the spaces of the University. For this reason, this project seeks to generate a proposal to study the structural capacity of the classrooms module No. I of the University of Ibagué in a way that adjusts to reality and allows us to obtain relevant and useful results, we will start from the work carried out by (Evaluation of the Resistant Earthquake Vulnerability of the Building Blocks of the University of Ibagué, Andrés Felipe Enciso Rodríguez, Francisco Javier Escobar Cervera and Jorge Andrés Ortiz Peña). In addition, the provisions of the NSR-10 will be taken into account. The properties of the materials of the constituent elements of the structural system will be determined from destructive tests. - PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEvaluación de la influencia del uso de malla con geometría auxética en elementos de concreto sometidos a compresión(Universidad de Ibagué, 2023) Garzon Valencia, Juan Sebastian; Vergara González, Miguel Ángel; Guerrero Chávez, Néstor Luis; Solis Bonilla, Juan Felipe; Del Río Gaitán, Juan DavidA través de esta investigación se analiza la influencia de la geometría auxética en el comportamiento de elementos de concreto. Investigaciones en campos distintos a la ingeniería civil, han logrado determinar que la geometría auxética por sus propiedades, presenta cualidades favorables a diferencia de los materiales ordinarios, como un mayor módulo de cizallamiento, una mayor resistencia a la compresión y a la fractura, además una mayor disipación de energía. Para ello se desarrolló un programa experimental donde se ensayó dicho compuesto como refuerzo, donde se involucraron cilindros de concreto a compresión reforzados con una estructura auxética producida mediante impresión 3D utilizando ácido poliláctico (PLA), aprovechando que este proviene del almidón de maíz y además es biodegradable con el tiempo, lo cual causa un gran impacto en la ingeniería civil, dando entrada a un futuro sostenible y con nuevas herramientas como lo es la fabricación digital; que ayudará a explorar múltiples opciones que permitan generar un progreso significativo y extraordinario en este campo.
- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoEvaluación de la vulnerabilidad sismo resistente de la edificación laboratorio de ingeniería número 2 de la Universidad de Ibagué.(Universidad de Ibagué, 2019) Rodríguez Rivas, Santiago; Cruz Cárdenas, Rodward Alexis; Guerrero Chávez, Néstor LuisThe study consist in 6 phases; In first part, has compilation of the largest amount of existing architectural and structural information of the building was carried out in the university registry; secondly, a qualitative qualification was completed following the guidelines of the FEMA P-154 regulation. Subsequently, an architectural and structural survey was prepared in the AutoCAD software together with a verification of compliance with the minimum standards of the members of an agreement in title C of the Colombian Seismic Resistance Construction Regulation NSR-10. Likewise, non-destructive tests of sclerometry and ferro-scanning were done to determine the mechanical properties of the concrete and the arrangement of the reinforcing steel in column elements. Finally, a digital model of the building was developed using the ETABS 2016 software, where horizontal displacements and floor sales were found for later comparison with the maximum values admitted by the NSR-10. The results obtained allowed us to consolidate a diagnosis that determined the seismic vulnerability of the laboratory number 2 of university of Ibagué.

There it is identified by means of a quantitative analysis if the structure is potentially vulnerable before possible earthquakes estimated for the zone according to the Colombian Regulation of Construction Seismic Resistant NSR-10. Additionally, it is verified if the constituent elements (beams and columns) comply with the NSR-10 relative to confined zones, where by means of numerical simulations the seismic vulnerability is analyzed.

- PublicaciónAcceso abiertoIdentificación de parámetros de comportamiento mecánicos de miembros tubulares de acero sometidos a carga cíclica(Universidad de Ibagué., 2020) Ramos González, Nicolás Daniel; Guerrero Chávez, Néstor LuisOn this work, we are going to identify parameters that are related to mechanical behaviors of square sections which are subjected to combined efforts of flexion compression which are produced by cyclic loads. From these experimental results which were made on tubular square section elements that were tested in Universidad Centro Occidental Lisandro Alvarado (Venezuela). Behavior Curves will be obtained for different values of axial load (0%, 15%, 25%, 40%) from the maximum axial load of the element with length 1200 mm and cross section (120 mm x 120 mm x 4 mm). The parameters to be determined would be yielding rotation, yielding momentum, ultimate rotation, ultimate momentum and critical rotation, which is the inelastic rotation at which the buckling occurs. These parameters will be used to define the plastic level values to be used in different behavior models used in different commercial structural software.
