The general objective of this research is to know the perspective of the orange economy and its relationship with the communication agencies in the city of Ibagué, in addition to providing a small study about the term. This work shows an exploration under various studies that are closer to the term "orange economy" and its beginnings from cultural industries and the creative economy, in order to provide resources that help contextualize the concept. In said investigation, in the first instance, a recognition of the preferences is presented from different authors who have studied and analyzed about the term; This study is also contrasted with the definition of culture and development proposed by each author and finally, this research focuses on the importance of the orange economy at the local level, from the contributions processed by the communication agencies in the city of Ibagué.
